Top 5 Movies of 2011

For this inaugural post of 2012, I thought it would be cool to post my Top 5 Films of 2011. These are in no particular order as to not offend anyone:

1 - Girl With the Dragon Tattoo: I know there is debate over which version is superior but one thing for sure, you can't beat the opening credits and Trent Reznor's update of The Immigrant Song.
2 - 50/50: One of the best written films of the year and overlooked ones as well.
3 - Moneyball: I may be biased because I love baseball, but this movie really was well done and you can't go wrong with Aaron Sorkin as the screenwriter.
4 - Hugo: While I'm not a huge fan of 3D, Scorsese really knocked this one out of the park and made me tell my friends that if you're get a chance to see it, do yourself a favor and spend the extra money.
5 - Bridesmaids: Not only did this film mark the triumphant return of Wilson Phillips but it made huge stars of Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy. P.S. its a really funny movie too!

So that's my Top 5, did any of mine make your list?

Regards,

The Projectionist
